Guardian Advocates

We help senior adults and incapacitated adults live without neglect, without abuse, and without exploitation from others. We strive to provide protection to those in danger. Those whose right to live a healthy and happy life is endangered, we will advocate for them. We support each person’s ability to live in the least restrictive environment and with the highest level of autonomy and self-determination.

Indiana State VASIA grant awarded to 20 programs like ours, and in 52 counties in Indiana.

Our organization was awarded a 50% matching Grant of $66,000 in Grant, Delaware & Madison and $54,000 in West division (Tipton, Howard, Cass, Fulton, Miami counties)” for 2024.

For 2025, We must raise upwards to $200,000 in donations and other grants.
* With an investment of $350,000 in donations,
* our 8- person staff and 60 + volunteers we serve over 120 clients.
* That’s a per capita cost of $250, which equals an average of 10 service hours per client monthly, delivered free of charge or at a $35 monthly guardian fee contributed from the client’s Medicaid income budget. Only a few clients with assets above $2,000, (Medicaid threshold), pay fees on a sliding scale, which fees we use to support our budget expenses to deliver services.

In 2023-2024 Guardian Advocates Inc anticipates serving over 120 adults in Delaware, Grant, Madison, Cass, Fulton, Howard, Tipton & Miami Counties.

Combined we have had 300+ referrals so far & served over 250 clients since 2018.

One by one we are helping those without family or others to care for them. 17% of the population are estimated to have no one. AARP research has stated for those over 65 years old, 25% are without family to help.
